things to take forward from 503 to 504!!!
- do some more ceramics-they are very successful and lovely to hold, and when relevant, really compliment my work. Also, being crafty with my hands is very inspiring to me as being tied down two-dimensional stuff sometimes bogs me down. I have a lot to learn and experiment with- i want to try glazing and air dry clay, and experimenting with using lots of media to embellish.
- spend time making things that are worth seeing- spend some time investing in my art and my visual consistency and style- find something that makes me unique and develop this!
- BUT don't get too bogged down in the process- enjoy the making and the experimenting! DON't become obsessed with the outcomes, but DON'T ignore them either!
- work on my storytelling abilities- definitely need to learn how to tel a story, but i want to explore this in my own way- creating a narrative and working around word of mouth is somewhere i see my practice headed in the future, so it's definitely time to start growing this skill. plus i really enjoy it.
- reeeeaaaallllllllly work on time management- something i am slowly improving on, by recognising i'm very lazy and very last minute. make things manageable and do things in small chunks. Doesn't mean i can make excuses for not doing anything though.- set steadfast, but manageable deadlines!
- do things that make me excited. don't slog away on something i don't enjoy doing because it's super tiring and makes me sad. be invested, be inspired, find new ways to look at things!
- and enjoyyyyyy, be self-directed and professional, be nice to myself and be CURIOUS.
